Long-lasting performance and design unity from EverTread matting

At 3 Te Kehu Way, EverTread entrance matting from Advance Flooring complements a nature-inspired design theme while offering looks, durability and performance.

With an exterior that presents a masterful blend of shape, colour and texture, 3 Te Kehu Way is a standout development in Auckland’s multi-use Sylvia Park precinct. Protecting the ecology-themed interior is EverTread entrance matting from Advance Flooring.

The collaboration between Woods Bagot and Peddlethorp Architects offers a visually striking facade which references the historic pūriri forests found in the area. A six-storey office complex pairs with a lower pavilion, each incorporating four shades of custom-made glazed green brick that represent the subtle colours of the pūriri leaves.

The facade itself uses precast concrete punched with square and cruciform shapes arranged in a varied and textural form, creating an organic look that contrasts with the more formal architecture of the surrounding buildings. This flows through to an interior that continues the theme of native ecology, evoking the colours and textures of a forest floor.

The designers enhanced that feel with EverTread entrance matting in the Topaz colourway and a bronze anodised aluminium frame, creating a subtle and stylish transition through the entryways that also protects the building and its visitors.

EverTread’s heavy-duty polyamide inserts sit in a sleek, low-profile frame which can be custom-coloured to suit any design palette. Constructed to perform, endure and keep on looking great every day, EverTread easily absorbs dirt and moisture while handling heavy foot traffic and rolling loads with ease.

Intended to make a bold architectural statement inside and out, 3 Te Kehu Way takes an innovative yet cost-effective approach to both design concept and materials. Specifying custom EverTread entrance matting allowed the architects to create entranceways which help reduce cleaning and maintenance costs, prevent slip and fall hazards caused by dirt and moisture, and bring a subtle elegance to this premier office development.
